The City Car, specialized for urban area driving

car_showroom-city_car
The City Car, specialized for urban area driving - The City Car (or urban car) is a small car is for use primarily in an urban area. The City cars are sold throughout the world, and most car manufacturers have one or two of their line-up. In North America, city cars are often referred to simply as "small cars next to the machines. These machines are usually referred to as segment across Europe. The Japanese kei car (a light car) is a special type of urban car. You can get the legal classification of kei cars (along with the added benefits and discounts for registration), the vehicle must meet the requirements of a certain size as well as the physical size and engine capacity. The 'city car in Japan, the definition of the informal and imprecise .

One of the cars was the first American city made Crosley, a four-passenger vehicle at the end of 1940. After the Second World War, many decision-makers microcar, precursors of modern cars. These include the Bond Minicar and AC Petite Britain, United States Isetta Italy, in 1953, Fulda, and Messerschmitt Kabinenroller Brütsh in Germany in 1954 (all two-seater with the Fulda and Sachs two-stroke engine, Goggomobil Isard (2 + 2, rather than a true four-seater) and the Gutbrod Superior. Zündapp Janus The Dornier-designed, which can be passengers back to back, and Riley Reliant.

While the European economy improved, Riley almost disappeared. In 1959, BMC would provide the city car best known and most successful, the Mini. The concept has continued to see the alarm the 1967 Turin Motor Show, where a battery Giannini Fiat 500 is shown, and Moretti, and De Tomaso was electric four-seater. DAF Quattrorooute joined the Italian car magazine and the Turin coachbuilder OSI produce DAF City, which used mechanical Daffodil. There have been other new projects from 1969 to 1972. In 1972, Daihatsu has raised electric model, while Toyota has shown the Town of Spider with a range of petrol and electricity, and General Motors will show up three to two seats, one electric, one petrol and one (unfortunately not the predecessor GM) hybrids.

Although many of these cars can be considered city cars today, these cars were replaced by larger cars with each passing generation. The exceptions are the smallest of Fiat, especially in 1957 500 and 126. Were in the region of 3.0 meters (9 feet 10 inches) long, but had seats for four people, putting them out of the microcar category.

Compensation for the 126, Cinquecento, was introduced in 1991 as a true city car. At only 3200 mm (10 ft 6 in) long, can accommodate four entry-level price.

In Japan, regulations defining kei cars created on 8 juli 1949th vehicle production line began around 1955 to 1958 by Daihatsu, Mitsubishi, Subaru and Suzuki.

GM products were only capable of 0-30 mph (0-48 km / h) for 15 seconds and 30-45 mph (48-72 km / h) maximum, not good enough for normal urban driving, could not the meet the safety standards would be set up in 1974. -- car showroom --

car showroom: 10 most wanted new sport cars 2011

car showroom: 10 most wanted new sport cars - The dream of every car enthusiast to own a sports car one day. These sexy, sensual machines inspire drivers and excite the senses. Unfortunately, they are usually not very practical, and therefore considered a luxury, which has hurt sales in the category over the last two years of financial difficulties. Cash-strapped consumers today are more focused on cars for work and family than on automobiles that can sprint from zero to 60 mph within seconds. Yet people still love to dream, and when they dream about cars they focus on hot air and performance.

  1. Aston Martin V8 Vantage
    • What a sweet crumpet the Vantage turned out to be: a British charmer, as exotic and debonair as the usual $200,000 Astons, but smaller, scrappier and barely half the price. Of course, that makes the Vantage a relative bargain, for a 420-horsepower 2-seater whose coupe version starts at around 120 grand. That's a premium over other cars in its performance class, and that makes the Vantage the choice for the Anglophile who'll choose high design and prestige over humdrum matters such as horsepower. To keep things fresh, a new-for-2011 Vantage N420 (at $133,350 for the coupe, $146,350 for the roadster) adds racy new body work, a stiff-sprung Sport package, a modified exhaust system and unique 10-spoke wheels with black-painted headlamps.
  2. Audi R8
    • When Audi first hinted at an exotic sports car to challenge Porsche and Ferrari, the eye-rolling began. Now eyes pop when the R8 rolls by. The R8 is the German-supermodel cousin to the Lamborghini Gallardo. The cars share an aluminum midengine chassis, Audi's terrific all-wheel drive and the MMI driver interface — and, in the case of the R8 5.2, a thundering V10 engine. Honestly, while the original 425-horsepower V8 version was terrific, if you can actually afford to drop $130,000, there's little reason to not kick in $155,000 for the V10 model, whose 525 horsepower elevates the R8 to where it wanted to be all along. This fall, an R8 Spyder 5.2 convertible will test how many people will spend even more to muss their hair at autobahn speeds.
  3. BMW M3
    • Celebrating its 25th year, the BMW M3 is one for the ages. One of the world's most well-rounded automobiles, the M3 is lovely, luxurious and accommodating — but fast and mean enough to strike fear into dedicated sports cars. Coupe, sedan and convertible versions all get an adrenaline-spitting, 414-horsepower V8 engine that revs to a lofty 8400 rpm, mated to either a 6-speed stick shift or BMW's M-DCT dual-clutch, automated manual. The zero-to-60-mph squirt takes just 4.3 seconds, faster than many shrimpy 2-seaters. And you can pull off all those heroics with four comfy passengers aboard.
  4. Chevrolet Camaro
    • Chevy or Ford? Camaro or Mustang? Thanks to the reborn Camaro, the old pony-car brawl is on again. We've found the 2011 Mustang to be the slightly better all-around performer, but the Camaro holds its own. With its Hollywood-honed looks, the Camaro definitely turns more heads than the familiar Ford. The drawback to that chopped-roof style is especially poor visibility. But the view may not matter when you're dusting off cars with either the V6 or V8 models, the latter featuring a 426-horsepower Corvette V8. And the Camaro's brakes are flat-out brilliant. Next summer brings the long-delayed Camaro convertible, giving Chevy a rival for the ragtop Mustang — and no more excuses for either side in the sales battle for America's most popular pony car.
  5. Chevrolet Corvette
    • It's a cliché only because it's true: Coupe or convertible, the Corvette continues to be the best sports-car value at its relative price. The 430-horsepower V8 coupe starts at less than $49,000. For less than $75,000, the 505-horsepower Z06 is a lightweight, hard-core demon on the street or track. And for $110,000, the ZR1 will make most Ferraris or Porsches quiver with its 638 supercharged horses and a top speed of more than 200 mph. But in our opinion, the Grand Sport is the biggie: For about $5,800 more than the basic coupe or convertible, it delivers a lot of the Z06's goodies — the zesty wide-hipped body, incredible brakes and track-ready wheels and tires — but is priced more within reach.
  6. Dodge Challenger
    • The Dodge Challenger has been somewhat dissed of late, thanks to the Camaro and Mustang. But while the Dodge is the 2-ton Clydesdale of Detroit's pony-car herd, there's still plenty to like, beginning with that inimitable Mopar, '70s-cop-show styling. We recommend skipping the power-shriveled V6 model and heading straight for the Challenger R/T, the lowest-priced model with a genuine HEMI V8 engine. For barely 30 grand, that 340-horsepower R/T is a tire-chirping hoot on the street, with the perks of a comfortable ride, surprising high-speed stability and the most comfortable back seat of the Detroit trio.
  7. Ford Mustang
    • Since 1965, the Mustang has charmed more than 9 million buyers, including men and women who otherwise would never have considered a performance car. And 2011 is a momentous Mustang year. Coupe or convertible, a newly refined interior and notable handling upgrades are joined by a sweet pair of engines. Starting at $22,995, the base Mustang has a V6 engine that combines 304 horsepower with an EPA-rated 31 mpg highway. Sparking high-school flashbacks, a modernized Ford 5-liter V8 drops 412 horsepower into the Mustang GT. For high rollers, a supercharged Shelby GT500 corrals 550 supercharged horses. And next year marks the return of the Boss 302, with eye-catching body work, a track-tuned suspension and 440 horsepower.
  8. Hyundai Genesis Coupe
    • South Korea's affordable answer to the Detroit pony cars is the Genesis. Looking like a younger generation's Infiniti G37, the Genesis turns out to be less refined, yet roughly as much fun to drive, and costs about $10,000 less. That praise, however, is lavished on the terrific, 306-horsepower V6 version. The 4-cylinder turbo model starts at less than 23 grand, but an asthmatic 210 horsepower won't have you chasing Mustangs. Kick it up to the V6 Track model, at right around $31,000, and you've got a car that breezes to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds, with enough backroad handling chops to hang with vastly more expensive sports cars.
  9. Nissan 370Z
    • The poor man's Porsche of the current era, the 370Z is simply the best pure sports car you'll find for less than $40,000 — and the best convertible 2-seater for less than $50,000. The old 350Z's bargain-bin interior is richly upgraded, making this seem more like money well spent. But the bigger deal is the downsized body, dramatically stiffened chassis and lavish handling upgrades that let the Z dance down twisty roads in search of unwary 911s. A fat 332 horsepower from a 3.7-liter V6 engine doesn't hurt. Nor does Nissan's groundbreaking Synchro Rev-Match: a 6-speed manual transmission that automatically blips the throttle when you downshift, mimicking the favorite curve-attacking technique of a pro driver.
  10. Porsche 911
    • No single sports-car model can touch the Porsche's six-decade record of achievement, whether on the street or in racing. The latest lineup is the most boggling, filled with razor-clawed yet confidence-inspiring 911s that make even an amateur feel like he's Michael Schumacher reincarnated. Count every combination — coupe, targa, cabriolet, turbo, all-wheel-drive and track-hungry RS versions — and there are 16 flavors of 911 to choose from, from the $78,000 911 Carrera coupe to the new, $173,000 Turbo S Cabriolet. That 530-horsepower banshee can hit 60 mph in less than three seconds and keep scooting to 196 mph.

About Toyota Motor Corporation

Toyota Logo
About Toyota Motor Corporation - Car Showroom: Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) (Japanese: トヨタ自動車 株式会社) TYO: 7203.T, NYSE: TM, LSE: TYT), is a Japanese automobile company, based in Toyota, Aichi, providing financial services, and also participate in other business areas. TMC is a member of the Toyota Group and produce cars with Toyota and Lexus brands, and have most of the Daihatsu.

History

Toyota Motor Corporation was founded in September 1933 as the car division of Toyota Automatic Weaving Factory. The cars division were then separated from the main company on August 27, 1937 to be the Toyota Motor Corporation until today.

Starting with the textile industry, Toyota then arised as one of the leading automobile manufacturers around the world. The Toyota which is well known as 1 car every 6 seconds producer, found to have named Toyota more because of their mention naming the Toyota esier and mor convenient than using the family name of its founder, Toyoda. Those are some exciting milestone in the journey of Toyota's business.

Toyota is the world's largest car manufacturer in the unit and net sales. This Japan's largest manufacturer produces 8 to 8.5 million vehicles worldwide every year.

Toyota was founded by Sakichi Toyoda, who started from a textile industry (Marimutu Sinivasan, the founder of Texmaco, big businessmen textiles in Indonesia, tried to imitate it by developing automotive sector branded PERKASA).

Compared with other automotive industries that use the name of its founder as a trademark, such as Honda, founded by Soichiro Honda, Daimler-Benz (Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz), Ford (Henry Ford), Toyoda name not be used as a brand. Due to depart from a simple idea and vision that time, the mention of Toyoda less pleasant and not so familiarly known then modified to be Toyota.

Sakichi Toyoda was born in February 1867 in Shizuoka, Japan. This man is known as the inventor since he was a teenager. Toyoda devoted his life in studying and developing textile machine assembly. In the age of 30 Toyoda has finished his work on the loom machine. This thing led him to establish the early of Toyota assembling company, the Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, Ltd. in November 1926.

From then the patents of his automatic textile machinery sold to Platt Brothers & Co., Ltd., an English company. What he have got from selling his patent, he made it as an investment on developing his automotive division. Starting in 1933, when Toyoda build the division of automotive, the team then much controlled by his son Kiichiro Toyoda, producing endless leading innovations in that time. Engine Type A was completed in 1934. A year later the first prototype of this machine assembled to their passenger car products , A1. Toyoda automotive division also produces truck model G1.

In 1936 they launched their first passenger car, Toyoda AA (at that time was still using the name Toyoda). This model was developed from the prototype model A1 and equipped with body and engine A. This vehicle is from the beginning expected to be a people's car. The concept of Toyota's products that continuing until today.

After four years it was considered to establish an official automotive company and separated from their main industry, textile industry. Then in 1937 they officialy established their automotive division as a company named Toyota, not Toyoda like the name of  their textile industry. The name of Toyota in the Japanese language are represented in the 8 characters, and eight is a lucky number for Japanese people. Another reason that makes sense is that automotive industry is a business of lifestyle and even in mentioning of the name (and what it sounds like), to be so important. Because the name Toyoda considered too stiff in the dynamic business like automotive industry, then it was changed to Toyota that considered better. No doubt, 1937 is an important era of the birth of the Toyota Motor Co., Ltd., the embryo of a giant Toyota Motor Corp. (TMC) today.

Kiichiro Toyoda spirit of innovation has never dimmed. Toyota then developed into a powerful vehicle producer. In the era of the 1940s, Toyota worked hard in developing the investment, including to listing the company on the Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya Stock Exchange.

When World War II ended, the 1950s is an era for Toyota to proof them as a tough and multipurpose vehicle producer. At that time Jeep was so familiar in Japan. Inspired by this type of car, Toyota then developed a prototype of Land Cruiser and it released in 1950. A year later Toyota officially launched early model of Land Cruiser namely BJ.

In July, a test driver Ichiro Taira finished his test on BJ with an outstanding result. Inspired by the Samurai character, Heikuro Magaki who climbed Mount Atago in 1643, Taira drove his Toyota BJ to the Fudo temple in Okasaki. It at once inted to campaign the toughness of this vehicle. Not for long, Toyota Land Cruiser began to compete the dominance of Jeep Willys. And even with the later models, Toyota Land Cruiser is acceptable in a market that was difficult to penetrate, North America. Through this model, Toyota's penetrate into markets around the world, including Indonesia, known as the Toyota Land Cruiser Hardtop FJ40/45. In Africa, the models of Toyota Land Cruiser is used as "Technical" an armed jeeps equipped with light machine guns, heavy weapons or even bazooka (Recoilless bazooka) and used throughout the armed conflict with very tough performance.

Toyota is not only known through the Toyota Land Cruiser. They also developed a model that became the world's favorite, a small sedan. Through the Toyota Corolla that made its debut in 1966, these first-generation small sedan using rear engine that changed trend of big sedan heading toward a small, economical and compact sedan. In 1975, the Corolla launched into the third generation and has sold more than 5 million units. The amazing thing that is still sustained today. Corolla engine is then used in Indonesia as an engine for a multipurpose family vehicles, "Toyota Kijang" first generation, and known as "Kijang Buaya".

At the time Toyota became a global product, they consciously do not have an official logo. And even in Indonesia found that the Toyota-branded vehicles like the Toyota Kijang with logo TOYOTA on the grille of the car bonnet. In 1989 Toyota decided to make logo with two oval circles (ellipse), which form the letter T and the third ellipse would suggest the spirit of understanding in design. The third circle that surrounded the two previous ellipses shaped T, as a proof to keep and influence the circumstances.

In the 1990s, Toyota strengthen the proof that Japanese cars can compete with European and American cars. Toyota Celica succeed to become a world rally champion, and the Toyota Camry became the best-selling car in America.
